Dutch national team player Salmon Renyaan wins wildcard

The wildcard allocated to the Dutch Darts Bond (NDB) has been awarded to Salmon Renyaan for his victory in the NDB Play-off event. In the last match of the day against a former CLoD winner Ron Meulenkamp he won 5-0. Before the match started both players had won an equal number of matches so this was the decider.

The total number of players qualified is now is 23. So that leaves just one wildcard remaining to be allocated. Every player not invited so far must now keep their fingers crossed and wait for the name of the final player to be announced. The Zuiderduin Masters is an event all the players want to play in, because of the good and exciting format, the atmosphere and the excellent quality of the hotel.

21 Year old talent from Bunschoten completes the line-up for the Zuiderduin Masters ladies event

We now know all the players for the Zuiderduin Masters 2011 ladies tournament. The last wildcard available for this event has been awarded.  The sixth woman who plays on the Zuiderduin Masters stage in the weekend of the 9th December till the11th of December is Aileen the Graaf from Bunschoten, the Netherlands.

The 21 year old young picked up a set of darts for the first time in 2007. She has proved to be extremely talented and has played in several small tournaments before deciding to play in the top leagues. This move has not without success. She is currently in second place in the new Zuiderduin Masters rankings for the 2012 event. She a currently a player in  the Dutch National Selection, so you can say without any doubt that she is one of the best players in the women’s circuit.

On the Zuiderduin Masters stages only the best dart players in the world compete so it was obvious to the organizers that the last remaining wildcard for the ladies event should be presented to this young Dutch darts talent.

The participants in the women’s tournament are: Deta Hedman, Irina  Armstrong, Anastasia Dobromyslova, Tamara Schuur, Trina Gulliver and Aileen de Graaf.

The final tournament of the International Belgium Darts Tour!

Brace yourselves, because during the weekend of 25th till 28th November 2011 it’s the time of the year again. We will organise the third edition of the Center Parcs Masters at Center Parcs De Vossemeren in Lommel, Belgium. During this event sportsmanship will be combined with entertainment.

There are several tourneys for men as well as ladies and youth.

The Center Parcs Masters are ranked by the BDO and WDF and are part of the International Belgium Darts Tour. The winners don’t only win the Center Parcs Masters, but receive an invite for the Winmau World Masters. The winners of the ladies and men’s singles also receive an invite for the Lakeside World Professional Darts Championships qualifiers.

After the tournament it’s time for some entertainment! On Saturday we organise a terrific festive night and on Sunday after the finals we continue with an after-party.

Everybody who books the darts arrangement in Center Parcs De Vossemeren, don’t need to worry to get back home, because close to the centre were all activities take place, is your cottage. On top of this, you receive free entrance to the sub tropic swimming pool Aqua Mundo, the indoor play world and access to the party on Saturday evening.

Labanauskas & Bagdonaviciene win Lithuania Open 2011

Darius Labanauskas won men singles in Lithuanian final in this weekend’s “Lithuania Open 2011“ (WDF and BDO ranking) with the result 6:4. He and other finalist Tomas Sakys in semifinals won with the same result 5:4 against latvian Madars Razma and Przemyslaw Bobrowski from Poland. Erika Bagdonaviciene became women champion second year in a row. In semifinal she met Latvian Avelina Lace and they needed a deciding leg. Finalist Maret Liiri from Finland in semifinal with the result 4:2 overcame English Jane Sharing but with the result 1:4 could not resist Erika‘s good double finishings in final.

E.Bagdonaviciene with her victory in doubles final became absolute leader of the tournament. She with her club friend Ryte Banaitiene with the result 4:2 won over Belarus pair Katerina Hardziajeva and Svetlana Lira. Men doubles final ended with same result and with lithuanians victory. Tomas Sakys and Leonidas Smirinenka were more focused and lucky than last year pair event winners lithuanian Arunas Ciplys and norvegian Dave Bate.

Bob Jones Memorial Results

The 16th annual BOB JONES MEMORIAL tournament got off to a great start on Friday night with 156 players registering for the Blind Draw Doubles.

Total prize money for the weekend tournament was over $13,000 and the competition was stronger than usual.  However, it was only the North American players who took the opportunity to participate in the 501 singles with the top players receiving NDFC/WDF/BDO ranking points.

In addition to the ranking points there is an invitation, to the singles champions, to attend the 2012 Winmau World Masters.

The singles champions for the 2011 edition of the Bob Jones Memorial are Debralee Roberts and Guy Connelly from Ontario (Canada).

The tournament organizers, Kim Whaley-Hilts and Wally Hilts, would like to thank all the participants and extend an invitation to all WDF and BDO players to attend the 2012 event.

Wildcard for World Cup Singles Champion and Winmau World Master

Reigning Winmau World Master and World Cup Singles Champion Scott Waites has received a wildcard for the Zuiderduin Masters. Scotty2hotty, as his nickname is, earlier this year also won the prestigious Grand Slam of Darts tournament and at the moment is one of the best players on the circuit.

In a tournament with only the best players of the world, a player of this caliber has to be included and therefore  the promoters of the Zuiderduin Masters have handed him a wildcard. This brings the number of players whose names are known at 22. One wild card will be issued by the organizers, the other wildcard is for a player in the Dutch National selection. The Dutch Darts Bond will organize a special play off for this wildcard shortly.

Registration Dutch Open Darts 2012 will be open from 24th October!

From Friday 3 th till Sunday 5th of February 2012 the Dutch Open Darts will be organized for the 34th time. With more than 3.000 darts players the Dutch Open is the largest darts open in Europe!

The Dutch Darts Association is ready to launch a new and improved website for the Dutch Open Darts 2012! This new website www.dutchopendarts.nl will be online on Monday 24th October. All seniors can enter the tournament trough our website, this year it is also possible to register multiple players at once. Non-Dutch players must complete the entire procedure but the entry fee will be paid at the front desk during the Dutch Open. For the youth tournament, played on Sunday, registration is only possible at the registration desk on Sunday.

Competing in the Dutch Open Darts is possible individually in the single tournament (Men single, Ladies single, Youth single), but also together in the pairs tournament (Men pairs and Ladies pairs). So: register for the Dutch Open 2012 and experience the best darts weekend ever!

The Dutch Open is ranked by the World Darts Federation and British Darts Organisation and carries places in the Winmau World Masters 2012 for winners of the Men’s, Ladies’ and Youth Singles. Besides that there is a prize fund of € 32.100,-. Together with the possibility to play against  world class players, this makes the Dutch Open the ultimate Darts event for everybody!
