Remon Hurrebrink wins a wildcard for the Zuiderduin Masters

Press release: Egmond aan Zee,  Tuesday  the 9th of October  2011 – written by Henk Westerdaal

Today in Driebergen, during an NDB ranking tournament the men players did not only play for  points  for the Dutch ranking, this time the Open Midden Nederland offered more.

This tournament would determine who recieves an entry for the Zuiderduin Masters . This wildcard presented  by the Dutch Darts  Bond would go to the best number 2 in the Dutch ranking as the No. 1 in the rankings, Jan Dekker already was invited for the Zuiderduin Masters.

Now there were quite a few players very close facing the second place where Ronald Brandsen at that time was settled. At the end of the day Remon Hurrebrink a nearly 34 years old player from Enschede was the fortunate one who won this wildcard.

Today Remon came into the final of this NDB ranking tournament but did not win.  Nevertheless Remon had accumulated enough points to rise from a joined seventh place straight to second place in the Dutch rankings to win this starting permit.

At the final stage Remon received a symbolic from the hands of one of the promoters of the Zuiderduin Masters, Gerard Elderenbosch and Hans Senders NDB member of the board.

For a complete listing of all players so far you can look in the section Participants on the website of the Zuiderduin Masters, www.zuiderduinmasters.nl
