30th AUSTRALIAN GRAND MASTERS DART TOURNAMENT

With great pleasure Darts Australia announce the Australian Grand Masters Darts Tournament that will take place at the prestigious Canberra Labor Club on 29 June – July 1.
The Australian Grand Masters is the Major event on the sports calendar with $25,000 in prize money up for grabs and BDO/World Darts Federation International ranking points on offer.
This event has attracted a large number of international players since it began 29 years ago and a number of World Champions have their name in the history books as champions of the event.
The very best Australian male and female players will be in attendance trying to gain the prized international prestige that comes with winning this tournament and valuable World Championship qualifying points as they chase their dream of playing in the U.K. in January 2013.
The top Australian international ranked players from every State and Territory will be in Canberra for five days during the Tournament and includes the current men’s and ladies Australian squads who are participating a the final selection trials for the coveted Green and Gold shirts to represent Australia at the Asia/Pacific Cup in September.
The tournament will also have a strong local connection with a large number of dart players of the A.C.T taking part along with darting legends Russell Stewart and Anthony Fleet in attendance.
The countries greatest players are busy preparing for the tournament and their skills will not be lost on those players and spectators in attendance as they ply their trade on the dartboards.
The tournament commences with a press release on Friday 29th of June at 2pm followed by the famous Bull Shootout in the Fred Daly Room.
