From Friday 23.03. till Sunday 25.03. 2012 the WDF/BDO Polish Open will be held for the third time.
The Polish Open is ranked by the World Darts Federation and British Darts Organisation and carries places in the Winmau World Masters 2012 for the winners of the men’s , ladies’ and youth singles.
We would like to welcome all darts players at www.polishopen.pdodarts.pl . The registration is open.
2012 sees the implementation of the first ever WDF World Ranking System for Youth players. We kick-off with the German Gold Cup on Sunday 29th January where there will be separate Singles Events for Boys and Girls. This will be closely followed by the Dutch Open Youth events on Sunday 5th February. During the course of 2012 there will be more than 30 events available to Youth players ending with the Hong Kong Open Youth Singles and the CenterParcs Masters Youth Singles, which will both be played on 25th November.

The entries for the Dutch Open Darts 2012 are going fast at the moment. Already 1.600 men singles, 195 woman singles, 770 men pairs and 90 woman pairs registered for the upcoming event in Holland. This is a positive development in comparison with last year. The organization is very pleased with the numbers and expect that the current media focus on darts will only increase the registrations. Therefore the organization has decided to extend the registration until Monday January 16th. All seniors can register trough our website www.dutchopendarts.nl. Non-Dutch players must complete the entire procedure but the entry fee will be paid at the front desk during the Dutch Open.
The Dutch Open Youth will take place on Sunday February 5th. For the first time in history the WDF launc
hed an international youth ranking. Logically the Dutch Open Youth is included in this ranking. The organization has noted a lot of interest for this tournament among the (international) youth and expect more players then last year. There is also contact with a youth group from Russia who will travel to Veldhoven. The youth finals promises to be spectacular again because all finals will be played on the famous and big Dutch Open stage! Youth members who wish to participate in the tournament can register on the day itself (registration fee € 5,-)! It is not possible to register online.
So: register for the Dutch Open 2012 and experience a great weekend together with a lot of other darts fans.

| The WDF World Ranking Tables for 2011 are now complete. As is customary, the WDF rewards the most successful players on a worldwide basis in the form of The WDF Annual Monetary Awards. The awards go to the top five men and women in the WDF World Rankings after the conclusion of the final event of 2011. In addition awards are presented to the top three men and women who finished outside the top five but were best in the three regions which are: Americas, Asia/Pacific and Europe. Bobby George special guest at Dutch Open Darts 2012
World famous darts legend Bobby George accepted the invitation from the Dutch Darts Association and will be attending the final day of the Dutch Open Darts on February 5th 2012. Bobby’s son Richie George, former World Darts Trophy youth player, will compete in the single and pairs tournament. The Dutch Darts Association is very proud to welcome Bobby and his family in Veldhoven. Of course Bobby will enter the famous Dutch Open stage, what will happen there will remain a surprise.

At this moment almost one thousand entries are already received within the different categories. This is a positive development in comparison with last year. The Dutch Darts Association would like to invite all international players, including youth players, to the Dutch Open Darts 2012. At this moment players from all British countries, as well as Belgium, Norway, Denmark, Austria and even Russia are already entered. Entrants or “coaches” will pay an entry fee of just £5 to give them access to an imaginary budget of £100,000 with which to select their favourite players in a “squad” of five men and one woman competing at Lakeside January 7th to 15th, 2012.
They then score points based on the performances of their choices. Points are awarded for wins, winning margins and ‘upsets’, with bonus points available for 180’s and checkouts.
Unlimited ‘transfers’ are available before the game starts so that ‘coaches’ can fine-tune their selection, and another two transfers can be made once the tournament is underway.
Coaches can form ‘private leagues’ so that they can add to the excitement and drama by competing against their friends, colleagues, family and even their rivals! Each private league will compare the progress of all participants throughout the tournament.

The 2012 Lakeside World Professional Darts Championships will be played January 7th to 15th, 2012 at Lakeside Country Club and televised by BBC, ESPN, Eurosport and Eurosport Asia.
The 32nd BDO Torremolinos Open, staged by the BDO in association with Larios Travel, will be played at the Sol Principe Hotel, Torremolinos, Costa del Sol, Spain from Sunday, March 11th to Sunday, March 18th, 2012.
There are two accommodation packages available: 7 nights half-board (breakfast and evening meal) in the Sol Principe Hotel, and 7 nights self-catering in the Sol Principito Apartments.
The darts competitions include Men’s and Women’s Singles with top prizes of £1,000 and £400 respectively, Men’s and Women’s Pairs and Mixed Triples. The Women’s Singles is BDO Invitation table ranked and the Men’s Singles are Grand Prix table ranked.

MariFlex open to new location and entry has started
March 2012, the sixth edition of the International MariFlex Darts Open Tournament starts again. In March 2012, on Saturday the17th and Sunday the 18th the various tournaments of this WDF, BDO and Zuiderduin Masters ranked tournament will be played. But there is a significant change.The location of the venue has changed to Sportcenter Vlaardingen aan de Zwanensingel 9 in Vlaardingen the Netherlands

The International MariFlex Darts Open Tournament includes mixed – men and women pairs tournaments on Saturday, March the 17th and Sunday, March the 18th, the men women boys and girls singles tournaments are played. The winners of these tournaments are allowed to play the Winmau World Masters and there is an extra bonus for the winning lady, boy and man of the singles tournament. These players also receive a starting permit for participation in the world darts tournament in the Netherlands, the Zuiderduin Masters.
The MariFlex Open is an open tournament for everyone who is allowed to play the Winmau World Masters and Lakeside World Pro (this includes the single tournament) Meanwhile, the registration for the tournament has started. This weekend is the Latvia Open 2011 darts festival, which is biggest darts competition in Baltic states. There are currently 195 registered participants, including 11 players that will be part of the 2012 Lakeside World Pro.
It will be first time that such dart stars will play at Latvia Open darts competition. The event will be played as WDF world ranked competition for the 6th year and first time as BDO ranked darts competition.
Ladies World Champion of year 2008 Anastasia Dobromyslova will play for the first time in Latvia.
