Labanauskas & Bagdonaviciene win Lithuania Open 2011

Darius Labanauskas won men singles in Lithuanian final in this weekend’s “Lithuania Open 2011“ (WDF and BDO ranking) with the result 6:4. He and other finalist Tomas Sakys in semifinals won with the same result 5:4 against latvian Madars Razma and Przemyslaw Bobrowski from Poland. Erika Bagdonaviciene became women champion second year in a row. In semifinal she met Latvian Avelina Lace and they needed a deciding leg. Finalist Maret Liiri from Finland in semifinal with the result 4:2 overcame English Jane Sharing but with the result 1:4 could not resist Erika‘s good double finishings in final.

E.Bagdonaviciene with her victory in doubles final became absolute leader of the tournament. She with her club friend Ryte Banaitiene with the result 4:2 won over Belarus pair Katerina Hardziajeva and Svetlana Lira. Men doubles final ended with same result and with lithuanians victory. Tomas Sakys and Leonidas Smirinenka were more focused and lucky than last year pair event winners lithuanian Arunas Ciplys and norvegian Dave Bate.
