The draw for  Finder Darts Masters 2018

This afternoon  in hotel Zuiderduin at Egmond aan Zee the draw is done for the Finder Darts Masters 2018. In this world darts tournament the best players in the WDF / BDO and NDB circuit participate. Total, 24 men, six women and six youth  players.

The men are divided into eight groups of three players, the first player is a seeded player. The remaining 16 players enter a group by draw. The women’s tournament only  counts two groups and each group has a seeded player. The youth event has no seeding

‘Wolfie’, Martin Adams receives wildcard for Finder Darts Masters 2018

Actually, this darter does not need any introduction. Triple Lakeside World Pro Champion, Winmau World Masters Champion and in 2000 Masters champion Martin Adams is a world class dartsplayer.

Reason enough for the organization to invite this top dartsplayer,  who has not missed an edition of the Masters since 2000, to participate in this world top darts tournament.

With a wildcard Fallon Sherrock completes the group of participants of  Finder Darts Masters ladies tournament.

The last available wildcard for the Finder Darts Masters 2018 ladies tournament the promoter of the Finder Darts Masters has given to the English darts player Fallon Sherrock.

Fallon won the Finder Darts Masters in 2015 and is the reigning BDO World Trophy women’s champion. In addition this year  she won no less than 7 international opens and undoubtedly  is one of the best English darts players and should not be missed on the world stage of the Finder Darts Masters.

Wouter Vaes wins wildcard for Finder Darts Masters 2018 as winner of the NDB play off tournament.

Wouter Vaes from Opsel Limburg has qualified for the upcoming edition of the Finder Darts Masters He was the winner of a special play off tournament for players of the Dutch national squad, organized by the NDB on Friday the 12th of October.

After the group stages, Hendrik Tooren and Wouter Vaes remain  as the best players of each group and played the final for the wildcard.

Wouter Vaes lost the first 3 legs  but came back strongly to win this final 6-4. It is the third time in a row that Wouter enters the Finder Darts Masters stage. He qualified directly  in 2016 and last year he received a wildcard to play in the tournament

Darts icon ‘Silverback’ Tony O’Shea receives wildcard for Finder Darts Masters 2018

After a year’s  of absence, Tony O’Shea returns to the world stage of the Finder Darts Masters. O’Shea is undoubtedly one of the icons of the sport and very popular by the audience

The organizers therefore have decided to give a  wildcard to this world top dartsplayer from Stockport England who with his walk on tune ‘Hey baby, oe aa’ manages to get the spectactors on his hand.

Scottish youth player Nathan Girvan comes back to Finder Darts Masters 2018

Runner-up of the Finder Darts Masters Youth Tournament , the Scottish youth player Nathan Girvan, this year will be back on the world stage of the Finder Darts Masters Youth Tournament.

Nathan, runner-up of the Lakeside World Pro for Youth and the Finder Darts Masters Youth Tournament in 2017, thanks to the invitation of the organization  this year he can try again to win this title.

Winmau World Masters 2018 boys finalist come to Finder Darts Masters Youth Tournament

Winmau World Masters Boys Champion Jurjen van der Velde and runner up of this tournament, Keane Barry, in December  will come to Egmond aan Zee to participate in the Finder Darts Masters Youth Tornament.

Jurjen,is  the reigning NDB junior champion and European boys single champion, and on Friday the 5th of October he  won the Winmau World Masters Champion Boys title in Bridlington England. He is at the moment the best yout player of the international circuit for boys and should not be missed on the Finder Darts Masters stage.

But also his opponent in the Winmau World Masters final and Europe Cup Boys single final, Keane Barry from Ireland is added to the Finder Darts Masters Youth Tournament field.

Keane last Year made his debut on the Finder Darts Masters stage and that Year just missed to play the Youth final. He also was the runner up of  the European Cup boys single tournament this year and the Winmau World Masters on Friday, on October the fifth

Also a player who, according to the Finder Darts Masters organization cannot be missed at the Finder Darts Masters Youth Tournament where only the best youth players participate.

Four-times Lakeside World Pro champion Lisa Ashton comes to Finder Darts Masters

The field for the Finder Darts Masters ladies tournament is almost complete. The organization has just decided to give a wildcard to four-times Lakeside World Professional champion Lisa Ashton.

Lisa Ashton won the Masters in 2008, but this year she had not enough Finder Darts Masters ranking points for qualifying directly.  Nevertheless, a player with these skills must be a part of the strong international field of the Finder Darts Masters participants. Therefore she is invited by  promoter for playing  Finder Darts Masters 2018.

English darts player Daniel Day makes his debut on Finder Darts Masters stage

The 30-year-old Daniel Day from Romford, England, has been invited by the Finder Darts Masters to play in the upcoming edition in December.

Daniel Day is the WDF Europe Cup pairs champion and WDF Europe Cup overall winner together with team England. He also won the Swedish Open  2018 and Romanian Classic 2018 this year.

Daniel, the number 14 on the BDO rankings  and 17th on the Finder Darts Masters rankings, also made his debute on Lakeside beginning  this year and now makes his debut in Egmond aan Zee. He can speak about a very successful season and is a player who deserves to prove this on the world stage of the Finder Darts Masters.

‘The Boss’ with wildcard to Finder Darts Masters

Ross ‘the Boss’ Montgomery from Scotland received a wildcard for participation in the Finder Darts Masters 2018.

Ross, winner of the Masters in 2010 and for many years a regular participant in the Finder Darts Masters, this year just missed two points for qualifying directly for the Finder Darts Masters.

The Scottish international is currently 14th on the BDO world ranking and has shown through the years to belong to the absolute top of the world. Reason enough to invite ‘the Boss’ with a wildcard for the upcoming edition.

Finder Darts Masters organization gives wildcard to ‘the Hammer’

The organizers of the Finder Darts Masters have decided to give Andy Hamilton a wildcard for participation in the tournament that takes place in the beginning of December at Hotel Zuiderduin, Egmond aan Zee.

It will be the debut for ‘the Hammer’, which decided in  April this year to participate again in tournaments building  the BDO and Finder Darts Masters rankings. In six months time Andy moved up  to the top 25 of this rankings and qualified yesterday in Bridlington, England for Lakeside 2019. A world-class player who certainly deserves a place on the world stage of the Finder Darts Masters.

Three players qualify for Finder Darts Masters 2018 as winner of the Champions League of Darts

Saturday 1 september the players field for Finder Darts Masters 2018 has been expanded with 3 players. These players qualify themselves as winners of the Champions League of Darts for the Finder Darts Masters that will be held from 7 to 9 December at Hotel Zuiderduin in Egmond aan Zee.

This Champions League of Darts is a special event  organized by the promoter of the Finder Darts Masters  in cooperation with the Nederlandse Darts Bond (NDB). It offers Dutch dart talent the opportunity to qualify for the world top Darts tournament the Finder Darts Masters.

Jeffrey Sparidaans qualified for the men’s tournament. Jeffrey impressively defeated Sander Voz in the men’s final and is back on the Finder Darts Masters stage. He also played on this world stage in 2016 also by winning the CLoD that year

Astrid Trouwborst gave herself a very nice birthday present yesterday. She won the ladies tournament and so will she participate in the Finder Darts Masters ladies tournament in December.

The first participant in the Finder Darts Masters Youth Tournament is Lars Plasier, who became the big winner of the junior finals.

Sharon Prins completes vacant spot Finder Darts Masters ladies tournament

The players field of the Finder Darts Masters ladies tournament is complemented by a third player, Sharon Prins. She fills in the vacant spot at the ladies’ tournament. This place arose due to the fact that the winner of the 2017 ladies tournament, Aileen de Graaf, was already sure of playing in this year’s event.

Aileen also ended this year second in the Finder Darts Masters ranking and will be seeded in the second group of the ladies event .

Sharon this season ended  third in the Finder Darts Masters ranking  and based on these results you may say that Sharon is  one of the best ladies in the world and therefore deserves to play on the  world stage of the Finder Darts Masters at Hotel Zuiderduin in Egmond aan Zee.

Therefore Sharon has been invited by the organization to play in the Finder Darts Masters 2018 tournament that will be held from Friday 7 to Sunday 9 December.
